Helping Your Workforce Scale up its Healthcare Defense

Date:

The human arsenal is certainly expansive beyond all limits, but truth be told, it has still never possessed anything more valuable than that tendency of ours to grow on a consistent basis. This is because the stated tendency alone has gone on to fetch us some huge milestones, with technology appearing as quite a major member of the group. The reason why we hold technology in such a high regard is, by and large, predicated upon its skill-set, which ushered us towards a reality that nobody could have ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, if we look a little bit closer, it should become clear how the whole runner was also very much inspired by the way we applied those skills across a real-world environment. The latter component, in fact, did a lot to give the creation a spectrum-wide presence and start what was really a full-fledged revolution. This revolution, on its part, will scale up the human experience from all conceivable directions, but even after achieving such a monumental feat, technology will somehow keep on bringing all the right goods to the table. The same has turned more and more evident in recent times, and assuming it shakes out as per the plan, a newly-formed collaboration should only make that trend bigger and better moving forward.

Mindbloom, the world’s largest provider of ketamine therapy, has officially signed off on a new employee benefits partnership with Kennedy Care, a partnership that will let the latter’s workforce access ketamine therapy from the comfort of their home. Interestingly enough, the move makes Kennedy Care one of the very first few organizations to offer the stated therapy as a benefit. However, what’s even more interesting here is the timing aspect. You see, the collaboration comes shortly after Journals of Affective Disorders published Mindbloom’s client outcomes data in seemingly the largest ever peer-reviewed clinical study of ketamine therapy. The study, which was authored by psychiatrists and researchers from MAPS, the Cleveland Clinic, UCSF, NYU, and the Houston Methodist, covered more than 1,247 patients. Now, according to the results, nearly 89% of participants who suffered from anxiety and/or depression showed an improvement in their symptoms after just four sessions. Furthermore, 63% participants were able to successfully complete more than half of their recovery journey. Talk about why these numbers are so impressive, they are actually 34% stronger than the results observed in studies of traditional antidepressants (such as SSRIs) and 54% stronger than results shown in studies of psychotherapy.

“By partnering with employers like Kennedy Care, we’re continuing to increase access to the transformative power of at-home ketamine therapy,” said Dylan Beynon, founder & CEO of Mindbloom. “Having lost my mother and sister to severe mental illness, I know firsthand that traditional mental health treatments don’t work for everyone. It’s incredibly important that employers offer a wide range of options to support their employees’ mental wellness.”

When quizzed for his take on the development, David Kennedy, founder and CEO of Kennedy Care:

“I’m beyond thrilled that Mindbloom has agreed to work with my beloved staff here at Kennedy Care to provide an innovative employee benefit that not only allows us to stand apart as a premier employer, but also to truly impact those team members who suffer from anxiety and depression, After my first session as a Mindbloom client, I immediately thought of my team and how I wanted those entrusted in my care to feel the same relief I felt after even just one guided session.”
