Oracle has officially announced the launch of new role-based AI agents within Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM), agents that are designed to help HR and business leaders transform the employee experience and optimize workforce productivity.
According to certain reports, the stated innovation arrives on the scene bearing an ability to automate tedious end-to-end workflows, all for the purpose of helping organizations unlock human potential. Not just that, it also allows for employees to focus their time on meaningful work.
Talk about what can be expected from these agents on a more actionable note; we begin from the role they are likely to play in the context of career planning. Enabling employees to create actionable career progression plans, the relevant agent can generate recommendations regarding career goals based on an individual’s employee profile
Furthermore, it can provide a potential roadmap to achieve those goals, as well as summarize available skill development and career progression activities based on experience and interests.
Next up, we have an agent focused on employees’ training and learning. Here, the idea is to let employees find learning and training opportunities to advance their skills and careers. You see, the agent in question can recommend specific training and development opportunities by drawing upon every employee’s unique training history, current skillset, and future career objectives.
“Talent intelligence is driving transformative change at Essar Power. By integrating generative AI-powered systems and exploring the potential of AI agents, we’re identifying diverse employee skills, intelligently sourcing candidates, and creating a seamless talent marketplace,” said Krishna Kumar C S, chief human resources officer, power business, Essar Power Limited. “These innovations could help us enable data-driven decisions on promotions, compensation, and career alignment, empowering our workforce for the future.”
Then, there is a timecard assistant, who will be tasked with enabling employees to automate their timecard submissions. By doing so, the technology would effectively ensure timely and accurate timecard submissions so to confirm correct tracking of hours worked.
Joining would be a tax withholding guide. This particular guide will help employees understand and select tax withholdings. An example relaying the same would be how such an agent can guide employees through W-4 elections for U.S. tax withholding, allowing them to ensure that the correct amount of tax is withheld.
Another detail worth a mention here is rooted in Oracle’s compensation guidelines analyst, who is going to help managers consider salary decisions for their teams. Basically, the agent can provide insights and information on market trends and company policies around compensation for new hires and promotions.
Moving on to a specialized leave and absence analyst, this agent treads up a long distance to guide employees in navigating leave and absence policies. The agent can assist with requests for time off, while simultaneously setting the stage for users to understand their rights and benefits.
Oracle also took the given opportunity to launch a new hire onboarding assistant, who enjoys the means to get new employees to navigate their individual onboarding process. At launch, the stated agent can support new hires from their initial days using information on company policies, culture, and essential resources.
Hold on, we still have a few bits left to unpack, considering we haven’t yet touched upon Oracle’s all-new job seeker analyst. This agent can, in essence, identify and prepare for new opportunities within their organization. The solution can come in handy to access resume tips, interview coaching, and job search strategies.
Among other things, there is a perks and awards analyst, who can inform employees about company perks available to them, and at the same time, flag awards that they qualify for. The agent can also offer information on policies and recognition programs they can offer to their teams.
“The amount of time employees spend on complex HR processes can be overwhelming and distract from their primary job responsibilities,” said Chris Leone, executive vice president of applications development, Oracle. “The new AI agents in Oracle Cloud HCM help HR and business leaders automate some of the most time-consuming tasks, enabling employees to focus on work that really matters, and unlocking new levels of productivity across their workforce.”
