When it comes to their abilities, human beings have never known any conceivable boundary, and yet they also haven’t seen anything more significant than their ability to grow on a consistent basis. This progressive approach, on our part, has already got the world to hit upon some huge milestones, with technology appearing as a major member of the stated group. The reason why technology enjoys such an esteemed stature among people is, by and large, predicated upon its skill-set, which ushered us towards a reality that nobody could have ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, if we look up close for a second, it will become clear how the whole runner was also very much inspired from the way we applied those skills across a real world environment. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide presence, and consequentially, kickstarted a tech revolution. Of course, this revolution then went on to scale up the human experience through some outright unique avenues, but even after achieving such a monumental feat, technology will somehow continue to produce the right goods. The same has grown increasingly evident over the recent past, and assuming one new HRM-themed development shakes out just like we envision, it will only make that trend bigger and better moving forward.
PlanSource, a leading provider of cloud-based benefits administration technology, has officially announced the details regarding its Summer Product Release. According to certain reports, the stated release brings to the fore a new solution in The Source Personalize+, which is designed to enhance benefits engagement by sending relevant, data-driven notifications to employees about their health and happiness. Talk about what the product has to offer on a granular level, we begin from its ability to thrive across multiple devices. You see, the original design only allowed you to use the product on smartphones, but moving forward, we can expect it to be well-optimized for large screens as well including laptops, desktops, and tablets. Next up, we must dig into its email integration. Here, the idea is to let the employers treat The Source like an extra channel to notify employees of important company information. All you have to do is copy a dedicated email address when sending out a company email. Once the email is sent, it will notably appear in both a traditional email inbox and The Source inbox including formatting details. Such a feature should significantly save time and effort, while simultaneously streamlining the communications so to make them more effective. Anyway, the product even has the necessary knowhow in terms of measuring API transactions’ success rate. However, beyond that, it will also scale up your visibility into error volumes and reasons as it creates clear paths to resolution, therefore ensuring a robust issue redressal mechanism.
We touched on an important API-related aspect within The Source, but still haven’t covered how the update introduces several improvements to its Enrollment API integration. This includes carrier dropdown for admins to choose their carrier integrations, an organization-select option for broker-level users with multiple organization access, and grouping transactions based on employee. Another thing the update does so well is that it simplifies the process required to elect evidence of insurability. Banking upon PlanSource’s own experience and the company’s partnership with various other insurance carriers, the product is able to enhance processing logic, improve performance and reliability, and increase automation of EOI approvals for volume-based benefits, such as Life and AD&D insurance.
Hold on, there is more. The update in focus further helps employers stay on top of ACA deadlines and the reporting season, and it does so using an ability to recognize employees working at least 130 hours per month as full-time, and alongside that, it allows customers with multiple plan years and FEINs the ability to choose a custom start month, which will provide accurate reporting on 1095-C forms. In case the whole value proposition still doesn’t look attractive enough to you, then we must mention that eight new dynamic lifestyle benefit and point solution providers are now set to join PlanSource Partner Marketplace, a move which should only enhance the already diverse assortment of services available to PlanSource’s customers. These services, in turn, will dedicate a special amount of focus towards addressing the needs of employees and their families in caregiver support, chronic disease, fertility, mental/behavioral, student loans and over 529 plans. The partners recruited here include the likes of ARC Fertility, DarioHealth, Empathy, IncentFit, LifeGuides, Paytient, Synergi, and Unsaddl.
“As we head into Open Enrollment season, we are pleased to provide our customers with a solid platform and critical enhancements to make this busy time of year stress-free,” said Srini Venkatramani, Chief Product & Technology Officer at PlanSource. “The enhancements from the summer release will enhance the benefits experience, engage employees and allow customers to stay compliant with yearly regulations. We look forward to supporting our customers through a successful OE season.”
Founded in 2008, PlanSource’s rise to prominence stems from the way it can simplify and automate every aspect of employee benefit programs.
