Making a Mix of Latest Technology and Timely Feedback to Raise the Ceiling for Your Employees

Date:

Human beings are known for a myriad of different things, but most importantly, they are known for getting better on a consistent basis. This progressive approach, on our part, has already got the world to hit upon some huge milestones, with technology appearing as a major member of the stated group. The reason why technology enjoys such an esteemed stature among people is, by and large, predicated upon its skill-set, which ushered us towards a reality that nobody could have ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, if we look up close for a second, it will become clear how the whole runner was also very much inspired from the way we applied those skills across a real world environment. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide, and consequentially, kickstarted a tech revolution. Of course, this revolution then went on to scale up the human experience through some outright unique avenues, but even after reaching so far ahead, technology will somehow keep on delivering the right goods. The same has grown increasingly evident over the recent past, and assuming one new HRM-themed development pans out just like we envision, it will only make that trend bigger and better moving forward.

Praxis Labs, the immersive learning leader focused on building inclusive human skills for equity in the workplace, has officially announced the launch of Pivotal Practice. According to certain reports, the stated solution leverages latest developments in generative AI, learning science, and interactive simulations to offer organizations a solution for optimizing feedback skills, fostering empathy and collaboration, and enhancing communication across a diverse set of teams. Providing bite-sized, experiential opportunities for learners to build and reinforce their communication and feedback-giving skills, Pivotal Practice begins its value proposition with a generative AI grading and feedback functionality. Here, learners share feedback either through voice or over text, ensuring complete flexibility and accessibility for individual learning and communication preferences. Once they have done so, the Gen AI technology in play, which is trained by Praxis Labs’ team of in-house learning scientists, would assess their responses for inclusive leadership skills. This is finally followed up with personalized recommendations to clarify and improve their feedback. Next up, we must acknowledge how the product uses its immersive technological framework to facilitate a better brand of learning. Such a feat is largely achieved by Pivotal Practice’s ability to apply in-the-moment learning, something scientifically proven to improve memory retention and skill development in areas like empathy and communication. Staying on the immersive nature of Praxis’ latest brainchild, it also allows learners to navigate nuanced situations across differences, while simultaneously deepening their understanding of people with unique identities and lived experiences. Then, there is the prospect of on-demand microlearning at scale. The idea around this one is in packaging all the required information into 5 to 10 minutes experiences, thus enabling learners to practice giving feedback where they need it the most like before performance reviews, 1:1s, or during team meetings.

“Candid and actionable feedback is one of the most sought-after yet difficult skills to cultivate in any workplace, and it’s essential to driving career growth, development, and engagement. Yet, there is a lot to be understood around how to give inclusive feedback across diverse teams,” said Elise Smith, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Praxis Labs. “We see enormous potential in harnessing the latest advancements in AI and immersive technologies to build the confidence and skills needed to provide feedback that helps people of all levels and backgrounds advance in their careers and supports a more inclusive and collaborative workforce.”

The development in question interestingly follows up on a research where it was claimed that employees who receive timely feedback see higher levels of performance, have more confidence, and feel a greater sense of job satisfaction. In a more concrete sense, nearly 72 percent of surveyed employees felt that feedback can directly improve their performance. Installing further significance into the introduction of such a solution is the fact that, so far, 70 percent of learners have reported changes in behavior, and this goes for both changes in and out of the workplace.

Founded in 2019, Praxis Labs has risen up the ranks by combining immersive technology with research-backed curricula to effectively let users simulate authentic workplace scenarios and practice key “human skills” that equip them to show up as inclusive leaders in the workplace. The company’s excellence in what it does can also be understood, if you look at how it has already worked alongside industry leaders like Google, Uber, ServiceNow, and others, to conceive behavior and systems changes that improve belonging, engagement, and retention, among employees. Not just that, almost as a ripple effect of such factors, Praxis has fuelled for these partners greater productivity and innovation.
