Laying the Pathway to a Better Brand of Human Resources

Date:

The human arsenal is surely expansive beyond all known limits, but notably enough, it has still never possessed anything more valuable than that tendency of growing on a consistent basis. We say this because the stated tendency has got us to hit upon some huge milestones, with technology appearing as a rather unique member of the group. The reason why technology’s credentials are so anomalous is largely based on its skill-set, which was unprecedented enough to guide us towards a reality that nobody could have ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, a closer look should be able to reveal how the whole runner was also very much inspired by the way we applied those skills across a real world environment. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide presence and made it the ultimate centerpiece of every horizon. Now, having such a tool run the show did scale up our experience from many different directions, but even after reaching so far ahead, this prodigious concept called technology will somehow continue to produce the right goods. The same has grown to become a lot more evident over the recent past, and assuming a newly-launched HRM solution shakes out just like we envision, it will only turn that trend into something bigger and better moving forward.

Cengage Work, the adult online skills training business of Cengage Group, has officially launched a new solution called Ready to Hire, which is built around the intention of reducing skilled labor gaps and expanding access to quality training. According to certain reports, the solution will help employers in identifying and training new talent through dedicated train-to-hire programs, with these initiatives seemingly open to customization as per a given company’s requirement. Next up, Ready to Hire makes it possible for a business to locate pathways that can upskill its existing workforce. This also empowers individual employees to earn various new skills and certifications, something which can go a long way to improve their career prospects. Anyway, beyond the stated benefits, the solution further gives you a never-seen-before access to local talent. Here, the companies can connect with students at a network of local workforce and academic partners.

Among other features, the all-new Ready to Hire solution can prove useful for companies that are looking to expand and diversify their talent pool, as its hands-on train-to-hire programs encourage higher participation from underrepresented groups than, let’s say, a traditional application program. Then, with better talent access and an option to upskill existing workforce, these businesses can also make a significant cut bank on their long-term recruiting and screening costs. Such a dynamic takes us towards another upside in better employee retention. You see, Ready to Hire leverages role-specific training to boost employee engagement and retention in hard-to-fill roles. The solution’s efforts here are notably backed up by a Cengage Work’s discovery, which revealed how nearly seven in 10 learners say their education played a role in staying longer with their current organization.

“Learners today want a choice of different education pathways to reach their goals, but they all want confirmation that what they’re learning will result in a job. Meanwhile, employers, particularly in sectors like healthcare and cybersecurity, are faced with unprecedented skilled labor challenges that leave some healthcare institutions with hundreds of openings for entry-level roles. Our unique position at the center of educational institutions, workforce organizations, students and employers, means we can build a program that truly delivers proven job outcomes for learners and employers,” said Michael E. Hansen, CEO of Cengage Group.

So far, the programs offered by Cengage Work have enabled more than 3.5M people to develop new skills. In case that’s not impressive enough, it is believed over 250,000 people will access Cengage Work products and services this year  to gain employable skills, complete required training or pursue a new skillset across high demand fields such as allied health and cybersecurity.
