Hopping on the AI Wave to Strengthen the Recruitment Picture

Date:

The human arsenal has always been expansive beyond all known limits, but at the same time, it hasn’t seen a thing more significant than that desire of ours to improve at a consistent pace. We say this because the stated desire has already fetched the world some huge milestones, with technology appearing as a rather unique member of the group. The reason why technology’s credentials are so anomalous is purposed around its skill-set, which was unprecedented enough to realize all the possibilities for us that we couldn’t have imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, a closer look should be able to reveal how the whole runner was also very much inspired by the way we applied those skills across a real world environment. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide presence and made it the ultimate centerpiece of every horizon. Now, having such a powerful tool run the show did expand our experience in many different directions, but even after reaching so far ahead, this prodigious concept called technology will somehow keep on delivering the right goods. The same has grown to become a lot more evident in recent times, and assuming one new HRM-themed development pans out just like we envision, it will only propel that trend towards greater heights over the near future and beyond.

Upwork, one the biggest players in today’s HRM space, has officially decided to expand its AI offerings and resources to help employers find bleeding-edge AI solutions, while simultaneously helping skilled professionals find flexible AI work opportunities. As a part of this push, the company has launched a dedicated AI Services Hub, which is an interactive experience that connects companies with some of the most skilled independent professionals in AI fields from across the globe. Not just professionals, though, the stated hub also delivers at your disposal a host of new beta features powered by OpenAI technologies that help customers get work done faster and more effectively on Upwork. Talk about these beta features in a bit more detail, they begin from an AI-backed job post generator. The idea here to let clients leverage the power of artificial intelligence and create fully customizable job post drafts within a few seconds. Next up, we have a new and enhanced Upwork chat experience. This chat functionality will bear the all-important responsibility of guiding businesses new to Upwork in terms of navigating the platform, learning how to hire, and basically reaching top-notch talent at a faster and more efficient clip. Interestingly enough, the solution in question also has certain proposal tips on the offer, tips that will enable job aspirants to conceive more professional-looking proposals, ensuring they stand a better chance at landing work. Hold on, we aren’t done yet, as Upwork’s AI Services Hub further comes decked up with extra resources. These resources include guides for quickly integrating generative AI into your business, research on the adoption of generative AI in the workplace, access to the AI and Machine Learning Upwork Community Group, and a lot more.

“Disruptive technology and platform shifts create new opportunities. We recognize generative AI will be a force-multiplier for both talent and businesses of all sizes that rely on our platform, enabling anyone who comes to Upwork to get work done to achieve their true business objectives,” said Dave Bottoms, general manager and VP of product for the Upwork Marketplace. “We are always looking for ways to empower our customers with the tools and streamlined experiences they need to work smarter to achieve those goals.”

The move starts to make significantly more sense once you consider how Upwork has witnessed a whopping 450% growth in weekly job posts related to generative AI compared to last year. To cater this need and better support its latest AI Services Hub, the platform has also partnered with Jasper, a leading generative AI content generation platform. Together, the companies will bring to the fore modern generative AI tools that fuel increased productivity and work quality. On an actionable note, though, the partnership will begin with Upwork introducing an exclusive 30-day free trial of Jasper generative AI services for copywriting, marketing, and image creation available to all talent on its platform.

“We’re thrilled to be entering into this partnership, which puts our generative AI tools in the hands of an enormous pool of skilled and talented professionals on Upwork,” said Dave Rogenmoser, CEO of Jasper. “Access to these innovative tools can help creators increase productivity, augment creativity, and unlock business growth. We’re delighted to be working with Upwork and look forward to seeing the impact we can have together.”

Founded in 1999, Upwork has risen up the ranks to a point where its current clientele stretches from one-person startups to various Fortune 100 companies. On the other hand, the platform has also made some huge efforts towards improving the work landscape for job aspirants throughout the globe. These efforts were a big factor why talent community, during the year 2022, earned over $3.8 billion on Upwork, and it did so across 10,000 unique skills pertaining to fields like website & app development, creative & design, customer support, finance & accounting, consulting, and operations.
