A Fitting Example AI’s Ability to Help Your Recruitment Reach Unprecedented Efficiency

PSG Global Solutions (PSG) has officially published the results from a study it conducted in collaboration with Dr. Brian Jabarian, economist at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

According to certain reports, the stated study was designed to showcase how AI-driven recruiters are now well-equipped to carry out comprehensive hiring processes.

More on the same would reveal how these published results were based on a data set of over 70,000 job candidate interviews across 48 roles in healthcare, IT, and industrial sectors, conducted in a head-to-head comparison of human-led interviews, AI recruiter-led interviews facilitated on the back of PSG’s Anna AI digital recruiter, as well as candidates’ choice between the two.

As for the results, they effectively showcase that PSG’s Anna AI recruiter outperformed traditional human-led interviews across nearly every key hiring metric. This included, on a more granular level, improved outcomes, better candidate engagement, and enhanced operational efficiency across high-volume environments.

“What we found from data in our large-scale study was that Anna AI can match human recruiters in conducting job interviews — a complex but key task in hiring — while preserving candidate satisfaction, maintaining smooth operations, and improving hiring efficiency and early retention,” said Dr. Jabarian. “The AI agent also captured more job-relevant information and logged it in a standardized format, enriching the data pipeline for even more informed hiring decisions.”

Talk about the published results on a slightly deeper level, we begin from how the study observed 12% more job offers to candidates who interviewed with the AI recruiter. This translates to how candidates interviewed by the Anna AI recruiter enjoyed a job offer rate of 9.73% as compared to 8.70% offer rate from human-led interviews.

Next up, the study discovered that 18% more candidates, who were interviewed by Anna AI, actually started their job. You see, 6.62% of candidates interviewed by PSG’s Anna AI started the jobs they were offered, against 5.63% of candidates from human-led interviews.

Not just that, the technology also achieved 17% higher retention. In essence, one month after starting their job, employees who originally interviewed with Anna AI were deemed as much more likely to remain with the organization (5.42% vs. 4.62%).

Hold on, we still have a few bits left to unpack, considering we haven’t yet touched upon how PSG’s AI technology consistently succeeded in procuring more information from job candidates. The stated piece of information included a median of 9 topics per interview, compared with five for human-led interviews.

We also haven’t touched upon the fact that deploying AI in the given context also managed to cut down on gender discrimination by almost 50%. From a statistical standpoint, gender discrimination was reported across 3.3% of interviews with Anna AI vs. 5.98% with human-led interviews.

Rounding up highlights would be the prospect of long-term cost savings. Anna AI recruiter would go on to achieve break-even after just 8,500 interviews, with the given feature even evident in low-income markets.

“At PSG, we are dedicated to redefining recruitment through innovation, and this groundbreaking study validates the transformative power of our Anna AI digital recruiter,” said Dave Bethea, President and CEO of PSG, a leading provider of Recruitment Process Outsourcing. “This milestone marks a pivotal shift toward data-driven decision-making across the talent acquisition value chain, setting a new standard for high-volume hiring. By blending human expertise with AI-powered precision, we’re not only enhancing hiring outcomes for our clients but also delivering a more equitable, efficient, and engaging experience for job candidates.”
