Packing Your Workforce into One Secure Bubble

Date:

Human beings are known to be good in many different areas, but at the same time, they do nothing better than growing on a consistent basis. This progressive approach, on our part, has got the world to hit upon some huge milestones, with technology emerging as a rather unique member of the group. The reason why technology’s credentials are so anomalous is largely based on its skill-set, which was unprecedented enough to realize all the possibilities for us that we couldn’t have imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, a closer look should be able to reveal how the whole runner was also very much inspired by the way we applied those skills across a real world environment. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide presence and made it the ultimate centrepiece of every horizon. Now, having such a powerful tool run the show did scale up our experience through some outright unique avenues, but even after reaching so far ahead, this prodigious concept called technology will somehow continue to bring forth the right goods. The same has turned more and more evident in recent times, and assuming one HRM-themed development ends up with the desired impact, it will only put that trend on a higher pedestal moving forward.

Versa Networks, the recognized leader of single-vendor Unified (SASE), has officially introduced us to a new product called Versa Zero Trust Everywhere™, which is the first ever solution to provide Zero Trust security for both remote and on-premises users, with optimized user-to-application performance. To understand the significance of such a development, we must acknowledge how the emergence of a hybrid work model has bolstered the demand for cloud-delivered Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions. According to Gartner®, “ZTNA is the fastest growing established security software category in 2022 and has the highest forecasted growth rate through 2026.” While we already have an abundance of these ZTNA products, most proponents deactivate when the user is in an office setting. This is a major problem, considering buyers want the ability to maintain a zero-trust security posture regardless of the user’s location. But how can the newly-launched solution solve this conundrum?

By roping in Versa’s Zero Trust Everywhere, businesses can actively facilitate in-line Zero Trust policy enforcement for both remote workers and onsite/hybrid workers. Interestingly enough, the whole package will be delivered through two dedicated channels. Firstly, we have Versa Zero Trust – Premises (ZT-Prem), which is purposed around realizing a secure access to applications and workloads hosted in the enterprise data centers or private clouds, doing so via the integration of Zero Trust access policies with users and devices based on continuous identity, device posture, and application assessment. Another detail worth a mention is how you can treat this product as a standalone system across any campus design. Moving on to Versa Secure Software-Defined LAN (Versa SD-LAN), which modernizes the campus and branch LAN with a software-defined, hardware agnostic approach. Under Versa SD-LAN, the user is likely to receive a range of capabilities, including switching and routing at line rate speeds with distributed adaptive micro-segmentation; inline Zero Trust policy enforcement at the user, device and application level; dynamic best-path traffic selection to optimize user-to-application experience; advanced automation using AI/ML-based network, and more.

“This release exemplifies what is feasible when your engineering teams blend technical depth in both security and networking,” said Kumar Mehta, co-founder and Chief Development Officer for Versa Networks. “The ability to build a solution that can enforce least-privilege policies everywhere, including LAN campus switches, WAN and cloud, is unsurpassed amongst SASE providers. With Versa, organizations can now improve their security posture with Zero Trust enterprise-wide, as well as extend it to all users no matter where they choose to work, with a unified view and consistent security management at better economics and efficiency.”

Founded in 2012, Versa Networks has risen up the ranks by conceiving organically developed best-of-breed functions that tightly integrate and deliver services via the cloud, on-premises, or as a combination of both, The company’s unified SASE has already earned millions of active users, but given how expansive its latest solution looks, this number could be set for a massive rise.
