Now, while LumApps’ already offers a host of different services focused on helping companies in better managing their workforce, the new feature allows managers and team leaders to create a personalized, time-limited QR Code that gives colleagues instant, authenticated access to their LumApps account. Also, guess what, it does so without needing an email or password at any point, a detail that significantly bolsters the convenience aspect and encourages better adoption. But how does the whole operation work on a more granular level? Well, once a leader has shared the QR code with the employee, the latter party then has to scan that code on their mobile phone. This will automatically download the app on a given device. Next, the app will seamlessly confirm your identity before syncing to a unique individual profile designed for every employee who is permitted to be there.

The development provides an interesting follow-up to an Emergence report, which claims that, despite 80% of the global workforce performing deskless work every day, many workers still don’t have company-issued computers to get updates on corporate news and culture, interact with colleagues, or access key information, resources, or apps. This leads to a feeling of isolation, and the same is backed up by a report from Deloitte that states more than a third (36%) of frontline employees lacked a sense of belonging to their company.
